Popular churches in Nairobi have reported a significant increase in revenue from tithes and offerings in their financial reports released for the year ended December 2024.

Releasing its full-year results, CITAM revealed in its latest report that income increased by 4% to Ksh2.412 billion, with most of the Assemblies recording income growth in 2024 compared to 2023.

Additionally, income from CITAM’s business units saw a 14% increase, rising to Ksh894 million in 2024, up from Ksh782 million in 2023, after accounting for inter-unit sales.

“This was due to new schools and units established in the year and increased enrolment in the schools. The new units were CITAM Schools Thika Town and Kitengela, and the new units were Kijito Fresh,” the report read.

In the 2023 financial year, the church recorded Ksh 2.312 billion. This was attributable to a significant increase in tithe and offerings, full-year performance for the new assemblies and strengthening of the USD to Ksh which was favourable for the international churches.

Christ is the Answer Ministry has over 33 assemblies, sitting about 45,000 people in Sunday service attendance. CITAM owns Hope Media which runs Hope TV and Hope FM and rental properties which generates extra income for the church.
