The Social Health Authority (SHA) has announced the appointment of twenty-five Claims Management Officers.
This move is aimed at strengthening its operational capacity in handling healthcare claims.
In a Press statement dated April 15, 2026, SHA CEO Mercy Mwangangi stated that the appointment followed a competitive and transparent recruitment process that began on July 29, 2025.
“The Social Health Authority (SHA) is pleased to announce the appointment of twenty-five (25) new Claims Management Officers. These significant appointments follow a competitive and transparent recruitment process that began on 29th July 2025,” the statement read.
The newly appointed officers will serve across different levels within the claims management structure.
List of SHA appointed Officers
The appointments were in three categories, including Claims Management Officer I, Claims Management Officer II, and Claims Management Officer II (Dispatch Center).
Viola Koross has been appointed as Claims Management Officer I.
In the Claims Management Officer II category, Nancy Lenah Khisa and Winnie Nungari Wainaina have been selected.

Competitive Recruitment Process
SHA noted that the recruitment process was conducted competitively and transparently over several months, beginning in 29 July 2025.
SHA extended congratulations to the newly appointed officers and acknowledged the role of existing staff during the transition period.
“The Board of Directors and Management take this opportunity to congratulate the newly appointed staff. The Authority further expresses its deep appreciation to the dedicated staff for their unwavering support and commitment throughout this critical transition period.,” read part of the statement.
