The Governor of California in the USA Gavin Newsom over the past weekend, put pen to several bills designed to enhance protections for LGBTQ+ individuals in the state, a move that followed a controversial veto criticized by advocates.
In his statement, he said that California was committed to creating a safer and more inclusive space for all.
“California is proud to have some of the most robust laws in the nation when it comes to protecting and supporting our LGBTQ+ community, and we’re committed to the ongoing work to create safer, more inclusive spaces for all Californians” he said.
