Lawyer Morara Kebaso has pronounced his stance on political affiliations after political activist Kasmuel McOure recently joined the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.
In a statement on November 14, Morara criticized political leaders for coaxing young people into joining established parties, claiming they are attempting to imprint old political habits on the new generation.
Morara said young people would carve out their political trajectory, which is why the Inclusion of National Justice Economic and Civic Transformation (INJECT) political party was founded.
“There is a very serious concerted effort to swallow all GenZ leaders into mainstream political parties to teach them the old corrupt style of politics. That is why we formed the INJECT Party. We will chart our path,” he stated.
In his statement, Morara affirmed that he has no intention of joining any existing parties, including President William Ruto‘s United Democratic Alliance (UDA), Raila Odinga’s ODM, or the Wiper Party led by Kalonzo Musyoka.
“I will not join UDA or ODM or WIPER their time is over. It is our time now. Consistency to the end,” he emphasized.
Kasmuel Joins ODM
Kasmuel McOure, on the other hand, joined ODM on November 10, following a meeting with party chairperson and Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga.
In his statement, Kasmuel praised ODM as the largest pro-people party in East and Central Africa, urging youth to join the movement for a fair and democratic Kenya.
“If you’re willing to join a substantive political movement for a fair, democratic Kenya where everyone can live with dignity, consider the ODM party – the largest pro-people party in East and Central Africa!” he wrote on X.
Kasmuel further highlighted ODM’s dedication to engaging young people, inviting passionate youth to help shape the country’s future.

“We’re revitalizing the Youth and Students’ Leagues and are calling on passionate young Kenyans to help shape our future. Stand with us! Thank you, party chair Gladys Wanga, for your faith and hosting us this weekend,” he added.

Governor Wanga affirmed ODM’s commitment to nurturing young leaders, describing the party as one for the future, particularly for Gen Z and Gen Alpha.
“ODM is the party of the future and the future of ODM is in the hands of our young people. Our Gen Z, and Gen Alphas, the ones who are coming up, and that’s why we want strong involvement of brilliant young people like (Kasmuel) Mcoure,” she noted.

Morara & Hanifa Speaking One Language
Meanwhile, political activist Hanifa Farsafi has clarified that she has not aligned herself with the Azimio Coalition or the Wiper Party.
Speaking after a Wiper press conference, Hanifa explained that she was invited by a community organization to present peace ambassador awards to Kalonzo Musyoka, unaware that the event would involve a press conference.
Hanifa expressed her commitment to justice, distancing herself from any political affiliation.
“I was called by the National community-based organization to present the peace ambassador awards to His Excellency and didn’t even know it was a presser; this was after I spoke. This looks like I’m in Azimio or something and I would like to categorically state that I’m not affiliated with Azimio or any political party. This was my speech as well!!! I said peace goes hand in hand with justice and we want justice for every one of us that has been mercilessly killed!” she stated.
