Lawyer and activist Morara Kebaso has revealed those responsible for the attack on his team during a rally at Ololulunga in Narok on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
In a statement, Morara alleged that the attackers were sent by a political leader from the region. He mentioned that the politician ferried the goons in his personal car to attack him and his team.
“I am shocked that a whole leader can use his own personal car to ferry county workers to attack Kenyans whose only crime is to expose the truth,” Morara said.
He claimed that the leader also paid more than fifty people to block the road, while the goons followed his team in two cars.

“When they escaped the more than 50 people you had hired to block the road, your goons followed us in two vehicles (a Prado and a white pickup) and can even be seen attacking us,” Morara said.
He explained that their car’s tyre burst, forcing his crew to abandon the vehicle and escape on foot. However, he alleged that the goons caught a few people and beat them seriously.
“When our vehicle’s tyre burst and another veered off the road, these innocent Kenyans abandoned the cars and ran away on foot. The ones that were caught were beaten in an attempt to kill them,” he said.
“There’s no issue. Today it’s us, tomorrow it’s you. To the people of Narok, I love you all. Pray for us. Don’t worry, I believe things will change.”

Morara Shares Video of His Cars Being Attacked
In a video Morara shared on social media, the two cars can be seen slightly ahead of his caravan.
The Prado slows down to allow Morara’s car to approach before they strike the vehicle’s windows as it drives past.
Morara and the others inside the vehicle can be heard telling the driver to speed up in an attempt to minimize the attacks.

Plea for Help
Earlier, at around 5:52 p.m., Morara pleaded for help, stating that his team was under attack during the rally. He mentioned that one of his researchers sustained a head injury and was transferred to another hospital for safety, while another had injuries to their hand.
Morara asked Kenyans to contact the police to assist him and his crew.
“I need help. I am currently in Narok; some of my people are injured at Ololulunga in Narok. Please help; they are injured. I am unable to communicate with anyone who can contact the police to come to the tarmac from Ololulunga to Mau,” he wrote on X.
