President William Ruto is set to host an X Space on July 5, 2024, to engage with Gen Z on the way forward after violent anti-government protests.
In a statement from State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohammed, the President will engage the youths on the issues raised.
“All Kenyans are welcome to contribute to this dialogue as part of our collective effort to foster national renewal and create a better Kenya for all,” a dispatch from the Cabinet Office, Executive Office of the President said.
The X Space will take place from 2 pm to 5 pm.
This digital town hall provides a unique opportunity for the younger generation to voice their concerns directly to the nation’s leader.

Step-by-Step Guide
To participate in the Twitter Space, you must have an X account (formerly Twitter).
If you don’t already have one, download the X app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and sign up for an account.
You can also create an account via the X website.
Once your account is set up, search for President William Ruto’s official X handle, @WilliamsRuto, and follow him.

This will ensure you receive notifications about his activities, including the upcoming Twitter Space.
To avoid missing the start of the Space, enable notifications for President Ruto’s tweets.
You can do this by visiting his profile, tapping the bell icon, and selecting “All Tweets.” This way, you’ll be notified as soon as the Space begins.
How to Join Ruto Twitter Space
When President Ruto starts the Twitter Space, it will appear at the top of your Twitter feed in the Fleets section, indicated by a purple bubble around his profile picture. Tap on the bubble to enter the Space.
However, if you miss the notification, you can also join by visiting his profile and tapping on the purple banner at the top.
Once you’ve joined the Space, you’ll be able to listen to President Ruto and other speakers.
Additionally, if you wish to speak, you can request to do so by tapping the “Request” button at the bottom left corner of the screen.
The host or co-host will need to approve your request before you can unmute your microphone.
