Kenya greeted the arrival of the luxurious cruise ship, MSC Poesia, on February 3rd, 2024, at the port of Mombasa, marking a significant boost to the tourism sector.
The vessel, owned by the Mediterranean Shipping Company, made a grand entrance with 3500 passengers on board.
Among the 3500 passengers on MSC Poesia, 2500 of them were tourists from different countries, looking forward to experiencing the magic of Kenya before setting sail on their maritime journey.
The MSC Poesia, with an impressive length of 294 meters, was hailed by the Kenya ports authority as one of the largest cruise ships to dock at the port.

The state-of-the-art vessel, towering several meters into the sky, showcases 16 decks, with 13 accessible to passengers.
Renowned for its comfort, MSC Poesia offers passengers an exceptional cruise experience with 16 lounges, 3 pools, 8 Jacuzzis, and 20 elevators.
The cruise liner embarked on its global journey from Barcelona, Spain, on January 7, 2023, with the port of Mombasa in its itinerary.
MSC Poesia’s journey extends beyond Kenya, with planned stops in Malta, Cyprus, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Tanzania, Madagascar, and Seychelles during its 112-night cruise.
The voyage is set to conclude its journey in Germany on April 28.
