Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) confronted a Fox News Digital reporter on June 7, 2026, after he asked about allegations that she had a sexual encounter with Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY).
In a video published by Fox News Digital, Boebert responded sharply when the reporter referenced claims made by Cynthia West, a former Massie staffer and ex-girlfriend.
West made the statements in an interview with MAGA influencer Laura Loomer in mid-May 2026.
The reporter began: “One of his exes is making headlines, saying that you guys…” Boebert interrupted him.
“Fck you, first of all!” Boebert said. “If you’re gonna bring me into this, like, the sexist stuff is like out of control. So there’s your clickbait that you were looking for. I don’t want to talk about anybody’s exes and the crazy sht that they do.”
She added, “You had great questions on what was actually happening. So…” before walking away from the interview.
The Allegations
West told Loomer that Massie boasted to her about a sexual encounter with Boebert that occurred weeks after Massie’s wife, Rhonda, died in June 2024. West said she began dating Massie in late August 2024.

She also made other claims about Massie’s personal conduct and the use of “boner phones” by his staff, but those details remain unverified.
Neither Boebert nor Massie has publicly confirmed the alleged encounter. Massie has addressed some of West’s other accusations in interviews with local media, describing aspects of their relationship and denying certain claims, such as those involving hush money.
The allegations surfaced amid Massie’s Republican primary challenge. Massie, a frequent critic of President Donald Trump, lost his Kentucky primary in May 2026 to Trump-backed candidate Ed Gallrein in what became the most expensive U.S. House primary in history.
Earlier Comments in the Interview
Before the confrontation, Boebert had spoken about Massie’s future plans after his primary defeat. She noted that Massie had filed for something unspecified and expressed uncertainty about his next steps.
“He filed for something,” Boebert said. “He didn’t specify what and I don’t know if he’s going to move forward with that or not. I don’t know….Hopefully he leaves here and makes some money.”

Boebert had supported Massie during his primary despite broader tensions within the Republican Party.
Reactions
Loomer’s interview with West amplified the claims on social media, leading to widespread coverage. Fox News published the confrontation video on June 7, 2026, the same day as Boebert’s remarks.
Boebert framed the reporter’s question as part of broader “sexist” scrutiny. The reporter did not complete his full question before Boebert cut him off.
As of June 7, 2026, no further public statements from Boebert or Massie directly addressing the specific allegation against Boebert have been reported beyond the video.
The claims remain based on West’s account from her relationship with Massie.
