Geoffrey Odanga Makokha is a seasoned educator and politician currently serving as the Member of Parliament for Matayos Constituency in Busia County, a position he has held since 2013.

He advanced to become Deputy Headteacher of Buhuyi Secondary School from 2000 to 2003 and later served as Principal at Bujumba Secondary School from 2003 to 2012.
In March 2013, he entered national politics and was elected Member of Parliament for Matayos Constituency.
He has served continuously in this role through re-election in 2022.
During his time in Parliament, Odanga has contributed through committee service. In the 11th Parliament (2013–2017), he was a member of both the Departmental Committee on Education, Research & Technology and the Catering & Health Club Committee.
