Walter Owino is a Kenyan politician and a member of parliament representing Awendo constituency in the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party.

From 2000 to December 2002, Walter Owino worked as a human resource assistant under Securicor (K) Ltd.
He then served as a manager for Skyhawk Services Ltd from January 2001 to December 2002.
From 2003 to date, Owino worked at Gilly’s Security and Investigation Service as a Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Owino started participating in active party politics and worked closely with senior politicians from Migori County in 2007.
In 2017, he tried his luck for the position of Member of Parliament for Awendo for the first time and was successful by a large margin.
On 31 August 2017, he was elected as a Member of Parliament for Awendo Constituency.
He was appointed to the Energy Committee and the Members’ Facility and Services Committee in his first tenure of the 12th Parliament.
In the 2022 general elections, he was elected back as the Awendo Constituency Member of Parliament.
