US President Donald Trump has accused the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of secretly planting hundreds of agents in the crowd at the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
In a statement on September 27, Trump said the development is different from what Director Christopher Wray said multiple times regarding the incident.
Trump said FBI Agents were part of the crowd, not as security officers but as ‘agitators and insurrectionists.’
It was just revealed that the FBI had secretly placed, against all Rules, Regulations, Protocols, and Standards, 274 FBI Agents into the Crowd just prior to, and during, the January 6th Hoax. This is different from what Director Christopher Wray stated, over and over again! That’s right, as it now turns out, FBI Agents were at, and in, the January 6th Protest, probably acting as Agitators and Insurrectionists, but certainly not as “Law Enforcement Officials.
Trump demanded the identities and alleged actions of the “so-called ‘Agents'” during the Jan. 6, 2021, which he called a ‘Historic’ day.
He added that many great American patriots had paid a very big price out of love for their country, and that he owed the investigation of “dirty cops and crooked politicians” to them.
“I want to know who each and every one of these so-called ‘Agents’ are, and what they were up to on that now “Historic” Day. Many Great American Patriots were made to pay a very big price only for the love of their Country. I owe this investigation of “Dirty Cops and Crooked Politicians” to them!” Trump said.
Christopher Wray, the then Director of the FBI, has some major explaining to do. That’s two in a row, Comey and Wray, who got caught lying, with our Great Country at stake. We can never let this happen to America again!

FBI Responds to Trump Claims
However, FBI Director Kash Patel disputed Trump, stating that the Agents were deployed on a crowd control mission that breached bureau protocol but did not amount to instigation.
Agents were sent into a crowd control mission after the riot was declared by Metro Police – something that goes against FBI standards. This was the failure of a corrupt leadership that lied to Congress and to the American people about what really happened,” Patel told Fox News Digital.
“Thanks to agents coming forward, we are now uncovering the truth. We are fully committed to transparency, and justice and accountability continue with this FBI,” he added.

What Happened
A group of Republican supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, after Trump lost the 2020 presidential election to Joe Biden.
Congress formed the January 6 Committee to investigate the cause of the incident.
On December 22, 2022, the committee published its full report and unanimously recommended that the U.S. Department of Justice prosecute Trump and lawyer John Eastman.
The Justice Department’s inspector general reported last year that it found “no evidence” of undercover FBI employees in the protest crowds or at the Capitol.
However, the same report confirmed that 26 confidential informants were present, including four who entered the Capitol without authorization, according to the New York Post.
