Graduates of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) have been advised to collect their academic certificates within the scheduled dates.
Otherwise, the graduates risk incurring a penalty of Ksh1,000 per year for late collection.
According to a notice issued by the Office of the Registrar (Academic Affairs), the university has set a detailed timetable for the issuing of certificates for students who graduated during the 44th graduation ceremony held on June 27, 2025.
The process will begin on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, and run through Friday, October 31, 2025.

JKUAT Releases Schedule for Collecting Certificates
The schedule has been categorized based on faculties and schools, with different groups allocated specific collection windows.
For example, PhD graduates will be the first to collect their certificates from August 12 to August 15.
They will be followed by all Master’s and Postgraduate Diplomas, the School of Law, and the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (COANRE) from September 2 to September 5.
Moreover, the certificate collection will be conducted from the Examination Office at the CLB building between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.
Graduates are required to first apply for their certificates through the university’s eServices portal (eservices.jkuat.ac.ke) and ensure they return their graduation gowns before initiating the process.
Also, graduates from the College of Pure and Applied Sciences (COPAS) and the School of Computing and Information Technology (SCIT) are expected to collect theirs between September 9 and 12.
The College of Engineering (COETEC) will follow from September 16 to 26, while the College of Health Sciences (COHES) has been allocated the period from September 30 to October 3.
Graduates from the School of Communication and Development Studies are scheduled for October 14 to 17, while those from the School of Business and Entrepreneurship will collect their certificates from October 22 to 31.

Conditions for Receiving Certificates
Additionally, certificates will only be issued upon successful clearance by all relevant departments and upon presentation of original identification documents, either a valid National ID or a Passport.
The university emphasized that certificates not collected within one year after graduation will attract a storage fee of Ksh1,000 per year.
The institution has asked all graduates to adhere strictly to the timelines to avoid delays and unnecessary charges.
