Samuel Sakimba Parashina is a Kenyan politician and the Member of Parliament for Kajiado South Constituency, under the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
Parashina began his education at Nkama Primary School, where he studied between 1993 and 2001.
He proceeded to Oloitoktok Secondary School, completing his secondary education in 2005.
He later joined the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance.
To enhance his capacity in governance and policy, he enrolled at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), where he earned a Master of Science in Public Policy Analysis in 2018.
Career
Professional career
Parashina began his professional journey in 2009 as an Assistant Operations Manager at Hillstone Ventures Ltd, where he worked until 2011.

His leadership abilities saw him promoted to Operations Manager still at Hillstone Ventures Ltd, a role he held until 2015.
In 2017, he became a Director at Sakwali Investments Ltd, managing enterprise operations until his election to Parliament.
Alongside his business roles, Parashina was actively involved in community empowerment projects, focusing on youth engagement, enterprise sensitization, and education.
Political career
In August 2022, Sakimba Parashina was elected as the Member of Parliament for Kajiado South, securing 18,592 votes in the general election.
Sakimba is actively involved in several parliamentary committees, including:
- Public Accounts Committee
- Committees on Finance and Fund Management
- Infrastructure Committees, focusing on roads and water development
- National Government Constituencies Development Fund Committee
His development agenda emphasizes education, infrastructure, and resource allocation through NG-CDF.
In partnership with the Ministry of Education, he officiated the commissioning of an 800-seat multipurpose hall in Kajiado County.
