Roots Party presidential aspirant George Wajackoyah while campaigning in Kakamega on Sunday, June 26, said he plans to fix Kenya’s economic challenges if elected president.
The controversial presidential candidate has been pushing his agenda for legalizing marijuana throughout his campaign rallies. Aside from that, Wajackoyah reported that if elected president, his government would plant bhang on the 4,494.8 hectares of Mumias Sugar Company nucleus estate for export.
Moreover, he also plans to export dog and snake meat to China and other countries abroad to help increase the country’s earnings. The presidential hopeful further mentioned that his focus lies on fixing unemployment rates among the youth and the country’s ailing economy.
“I will have Chinese citizens who have grabbed jobs in the country deported if elected. My government will export snakes and dogs overseas to make more money to pay off the country’s debts,” Wajackoya said.
According to the professor, he is the best candidate to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta. He further dismissed his opponent’s manifesto saying he will create a 24-hour open economy so that Kenya can prosper.

Furthermore, Wajackoya was accompanied by his running mate Justina Wamae, who also drummed up support for their ticket in the western region.
“We will address the inflation that has caused the price of food and fuel to rise unimaginably. If elected, we promise to ensure that your lives get better,” Ms Wamae stated.
Additionally, Justina Wamae reported that if they win the presidential bid, the Roots Party government will ensure there is gender equity and will have more women holding government positions. Likewise, they will make sure the rule of law prevails and those convicted are treated with dignity.
Nevertheless, the Roots Party leader in his western region campaign trail has visited Vihiga, Bungoma and Kakamega counties to popularize his manifesto.
