The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is scheduled to carry out the second simulation for the electronic transmission of poll results on Tuesday, July 19.
Moreover, IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati on Sunday, July 18 stated that the commission is committed to conduct a free, fair, and successful election.
At the same time, Chebukati called on all political stakeholders to work together with the electoral body in case of any concerns to ensure a successful and seamless exercise.
In addition, the simulation exercise is intended to identify challenges in transmission of electronic copies of poll results used to collate provisional election results at the National Tallying Center.

Moreover, electronically transmitted results are only used to generate a provisional tally with IEBC required to verify physical statutory forms before declaring the outcome of an election.
Nonetheless, the simulation if successful, will put politicians and human rights activists at peace expecting and hoping for a seamless exercise in the upcoming general election.
