Residents of Mamboleo in Kisumu were left in shock after unknown individuals demolished the Coptic Roundabout, a blackspot that recently claimed 27 lives in a tragic road accident.
Locals said the demolition took place last night.
The incident happened ahead of the mass burial of the 27 family members scheduled for August 16, 2025.
Shared photos on social media platforms on August 16, 2025, show a section of the roundabout covered with mounds of dirt and scattered debris, which now stand as a stark reminder of the crash.
The images depict the roundabout partially blocked by piles of earth, preventing motorists from using it.
This comes as the families of the victims prepared for the mass funeral ceremony of their loved ones at Nakki Primary School.
