Farah Salah Yakub is a Kenyan politician and a member of parliament representing Fafi Constituency in Garissa County.
He has served as the MP since 2022 under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party.
Educational Background of Farah Salah
Farah Salah began his formal education at Jaribu Primary School, where he studied from 1980 to 1987, earning the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).
He then proceeded to Garissa High School, attending from 1988 to 1991, where he obtained the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
In pursuit of higher education, he joined Kenyatta University in 1994, graduating in 1997 with a Bachelor of Environmental Science degree.
His interest in health and pharmaceutical sciences later took him abroad, where he enrolled at Oslo University College in Norway from 2005 to 2008, where he completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.

Yakub has a long record of service in environmental advocacy, public administration, and the private sector.
From 1998 to 2011, he served in managerial roles with major international NGOs CARE, WFP, and MSF, where he handled community programmes involving water, health, and agriculture.
In 2013, he was appointed County Executive Committee (CEC) member for Garissa County, where he took the lead in environment, water, and infrastructure policy up to 2015.
Later in 2016, he worked as the Managing Director of Fuel Choice Ltd, overseeing operations in the energy sector until 2022.
From August 2022, he was elected as the MP for Fafi Constituency, serving on the Committee on Delegated Legislation.
