An aircraft under the Z.Boskovic Air Charters Limited has been involved in an incident in Migori County on September 16.
In a statement, the company said the incident happened at around 12: 30 PM when the aircraft was taking off in Migori.
“We have engaged the relevant authorities to support the investigation of the incident and are closely monitoring the incident. Further updates will be provided if more information becomes available,” the statement read in part.
According to the statement, the aircraft with registration number 5Y-ZBW was carrying 10 passengers and one crew member at the time of the incident.

Boskovic Air Charters Ltd. also confirmed that no fatalities or injuries were reported at the time of the incident.
The company said they are working closely with relevant authorities to investigate the cause of the crash.
This incident comes at a time when Kenya as a country has witnessed several aircraft accidents.

Past aircraft accidents
On August 13, 2024, two planes collided in the air above Nairobi National Park which resulted in the death of two people.
One of the planes involved in the accident was a Dash 8 owned by Safari Link, which was heading for Diani with 44 passengers and crew.
The other was a Cessna plane on a training session, carrying two people.
The Cessna crashed in the park, while the Dash 8 safely landed back at Wilson Airport.

The Safarilink Aviation management reported that there were no fatalities nor injuries recorded in their aircraft Dash 8.
In November 2023, there was a plane crash involving an AS 550 C3 Fennec delivered in 2018 designated for attack purposes in Ol Tepesi, Kajiado.
There was also another incident that occurred in Chemolingot West Pokot on July 20, 2023, where an AS 550 C3 Fennec aircraft delivered in 2018 crashed.
