The High Court issued an arrest warrant for Juja Member of Parliament (MP) George Koimburi and two others.
Komburi and the other failed to appear for charges of defeating justice and giving false information about his alleged abduction.
He was charged alongside six other individuals, including Kanyenyaini MCA Grace Nduta Wairimu, Peter Kiratu Muhia, David Macharia Gatana and Cyrus Kieru Muhia.

Other charges include participating in the alleged abduction with intent to commit murder, violating Section 258 of the Penal Code.
They are facing charges for allegedly causing a disturbance in a manner likely to breach the peace.
DCI and Police Statement
Nduta and the other suspects were arrested after the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and National Police Service (NPS) dismissed Koimburi’s alleged abduction.
DCI said Koimburi was allegedly abducted on May 25, 2025, from the Full Gospel Ebenezer Church in Mugutha.
He was found early Monday, May 26, dumped at a coffee plantation in Kiambu County.
The first person to find him was a boda‑boda rider, who alerted his family.

George Koimburi Evaded Arrest
DCI revealed that Wairimu spent the entire night of May 25, 2025, with Koimburi at a bar in Gatundu South when the lawmaker had claimed that he had been abducted.
However, the NPS has dismissed claims of abduction, stating that Koimburi, deliberately went into hiding upon learning that officers were preparing to arrest him.
According to the NPS, the planned arrest was sanctioned by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) on Friday, May 23, in connection with an ongoing investigation into land fraud.

Suspects Released on Cash Bail
During court proceedings on May 29, DCI asked the court to allow them to hold the suspects in the alleged abduction.
The detectives asked the court to allow them to hold the three for 15 days pending an ongoing investigation.
However, Milimani Magistrate Carolyne Nyaguthii ordered each suspect released on Ksh1 million bond plus one surety, or Ksh300,000 in cash bail.
Magistrate Nyaguthii also imposed several pre-charge conditions in addition to the bail terms.
She barred the suspects from contacting any witnesses, directly or indirectly, including through proxies, to prevent interference with the ongoing investigation.
They were also directed to report to the investigating officer, Nicholas Njoroge, weekly or whenever summoned, until further orders from the court.
