NCIC Warns Gachagua
According to the statement issued, his allegation that Ruto seeks to remove the Chief Justice (CJ) from office because of her ethnicity is misleading.
Further, his remarks are meant to promote negative ethnicity and are likely to incite feelings of animosity among Kenyans.

NCIC stated that it is a violation of the president’s constitutional rights to be denied any access to visit any part of the Country to discharge his official duties.
Costly Propaganda
The Commission has cautioned Rigathi, urging him to exercise more restraint and choose his words carefully.
NCIC cited that his reckless utterances could stir feelings of animosity between communities, a consequence hard to bear.
“Whereas the freedom of speech is guaranteed by our Constitution, you are advised not to engage in utterances that amount to propaganda for war, incitement to violence, hate speech,” the statement read.

Gachagua Recent Utterances
“The president has planned to remove Chief Justice Martha Koome. He started with me, then Mithika Linturi. He has issued bribes just to see her out of the office,” Rigathi said.
Rigathi made these utterances during a Sunday service on February 23, 2025, at AIPCA Antubetwe Kiongo Church Igembe North within Meru County.
Gachagua played the tribal card in his speech by citing that the president intends to wipe off Mt. Kenya leaders from the government.

Ruto Vs Rigathi Tiff
The tiff between Rigathi and his former boss continues to deepen. The two have been on the opposite sides since Gachagua’s impeachment.
Additionally, the former president has been publicly criticizing the government and labelling it as dysfunctional.
Ruto on the other hand has cited that his former deputy was the reason behind why he derailed in executing his national manifesto to Kenyans.
