Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has announced that the results of 1,180 candidates have been cancelled.
Addressing the media on January 9, CS Ogamba stated that the cancellations were due to examination irregularities.
“I wish to reiterate our stand on the integrity of examinations. In November last year, we indicated that 21 there were reported cases under investigation and that action would be taken upon conclusion of the investigation,” Ogamba said.
“At the conclusion of the KCSE examination, 1,180 candidates were found to have been involved in examination irregularities. Consequently, and in line with the applicable law and regulations, their examination results have been cancelled.”
In November 2025, the Education Ministry sounded the alarm over continued exam cheating.
Julius Ogamba said 418 candidates were caught in cases of exam malpractice during the 2025 Kenya KCSE examinations.
