Former Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has clarified claims that he was nominated to be an Ambassador after his sacking by President William Ruto in July 11.
In a statement on July 31, Kuria stated that the information circulating on social media that he has been appointed the Ambassador of Ukraine is fake.
“It has come to my attention that false information regarding my appointment as the Ambassador to Ukraine is being circulated by various bloggers,” he said.
“I would like to clarify and assure everyone that the credible and accurate details about any new appointment will only be shared through my official Facebook page Hon.CS Moses Kuria and my verified X account @HonMoses_Kuria.”
Moses Kuria flagged the viral poster featuring his photo alongside those of former Gender CS Aisha Jumwa and ex-Sports CS Ababu Namwamba as fake news.
Meanwhile, Aisha Jumwa was alleged to have been appointed as the Kenyan Ambassador to Switzerland, while Ababu Namwamba was rumored to have been appointed to Chad.

Moses Kuria’s response came after the viral poster, flagged as fake, sparked criticism across social media. Many users questioned why the same leaders would still be occupying their roles if the appointments were true.
“What kind of nonsense and mokery to the Kenyan people is this? Is the president telling us that there are no deserving people for these positions than these three? What a disgrace,” an X user @voiceofKairi said.
Another user chimed in stating, “Moses Kuria, Ababu Namwamba and Aisha Jumwa are all rich people. They run their business and own big houses and cars. We have poor qualified youths with degree but can’t access such because the system is rotten. All youths should come out on the #NaneNane.”
Moses Kuria is among the former 12 Cabinet Secretaries left out on the list of the nominees. Former Attorney General Justin Muturi, nominated to lead the Public Service ministry and if vetted successfully he will take over Kuria’ role.

“The Gen Zs have told me to engage in a candid conversation which I agree. I agree that we need to have a candid conversation. You know yesterday we saw some people got into the government. You are welcome to join the government I will give you the manual of how to run things,” he said.
“We as the government there are many things that we have achieved and there are others that we weren’t able to achieve.”
