Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has faulted President William Ruto for spearheading DRC peace talks while he has not addressed the issues of abductions in Kenya.
While addressing a congregation in Ministries Shilor Church in, Mathioya Murang’a County, Gachagua castigated President William Ruto‘s administration for turning a deaf ear on matters concerning abduction.
“It is pointless for you Mr President to pretend to be creating peace in DRC when your government is abducting and killing our children. It doesn’t make sense, that is pretense,” Gachagua said.
Gachagua further called on President Ruto to put an end to the abductions.
“We call upon the President to stop the abductions and killings of our young people,” the former Deputy President stated.

At the same time, Gachagua castigated President Ruto’s administration for allegedly reviving criminal gangs in Mount Kenya.
Their plan is to fund these gangs to create chaos, provoking the youth into conflict while they stand back and watch, satisfied that the people of Mount Kenya are fighting each other.” Gachagua alleged.

The former Deputy President further accused the Head of State of hypocrisy for deploying police officers to Haiti while alleging that he is organizing criminal gangs in Mount Kenya.
“How can you send our officers to Haiti to fight criminal gangs while your government is sponsoring criminal gangs in Kenya? That is hypocrisy. Why don’t you first deal with the gangs here?” Gachagua stated.
Former DP Reveals New Political Plans
Gachagua said he will give a report on the information he has gathered from the people and reveal it to the public.
“I promised that by January 31, I will have gathered the opinion of the people and give them political direction. I want to ask for forgiveness because I am late because the opinions have been too much,” he said.
Gachagua mentioned that he initially anticipated feedback primarily from the Mt. Kenya region. However, he ended up receiving input from across the entire country, which extended the review process.
“We collected feedback from everyone, and I am still in the process of gathering more. On Sunday, February 9, I will present an interim report based on the opinions I have received so far,” he stated.
