AMG Realtors Appoints New CEO In Fresh Leadership Changes

Kenya’s real estate company AMG Realtors has announced changes on its leadership set to take effect from January 1, 2024, in a move aimed at propelling the firm to new heights. 

In a statement seen by The Kenya Times, the company expressed its excitement to have Martin Ndungu Githinji promoted to the role of CEO Designate after years of serving the company in different capacities.

Martin’s journey with AMG Realtors spans 8 years, during which the company highlighted that he showcased unwavering dedication and made substantial contributions across various departments, most recently as Chief Commercial Officer.

“We are excited to announce that Martin Ndungu Githinji has been promoted to CEO Designate, effective 1st January 2024,” part of the statement read.

AMG’S New CEO Education & Professional Background

Martin Githinji went to Ituru secondary school and later joined the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication.

He further proceeded to the Kenya College of Accountancy University where he studied Bachelor of Commerce.

Githinji is a former communication consultant at Bayer Kenya and Associate editor at the Kenya News Agency Cooperative Limited.

Prior to his new role, he was a Chief Commercial officer at AMG Realtors company.

Throughout his tenure at the company, AMG noted that Martin has demonstrated a passion for serving investors on their unique journeys, earning him the confidence of both the team and stakeholders alike.

His appointment as CEO Designate reflects the company’s belief in his ability to lead AMG Realtors through its next phase of growth and success.

“We have full confidence in Martin’s ability to lead us into the next chapter of growth and success,” said the company.

The Company’s Other Promotion

Simultaneously, the company announced that Andrew Muthee Gitau will be taking up a new role as its Executive Director, after an illustrious 11-year tenure as CEO.

Andrew’s wealth of experience and strategic acumen will now be dedicated to expanding the company’s product portfolio and steering its long-term trajectory.

“In his new capacity as the Executive Director, he will focus on growing the business product portfolio,” AMG commented.

As one of the founding members of the AMG Foundation, he boasts an extensive background with over 15 years of expertise in Strategic Management, Sales, and Marketing.

Prior to his involvement with the foundation, he held senior positions in Sales and Marketing at renowned companies such as Colgate Palmolive and Proctor and Gamble.

Beyond his corporate endeavors, Andrew is deeply committed to volunteerism and philanthropy.

Currently, he serves on the board of The Kenya National Prayer Breakfast and leads the Loresho Chapter of the society.

Andrew is also actively involved in governance roles on the boards of Kirirwa Secondary School in Murang’a and the RAHA (Reach Out Help Out Association).

Andrew Muthee Educational Background

Muthee is an Alumni of Starehe Boys’ Center holding an MBA in Strategic Management and a Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration, both earned from the United States International University (USIA), Africa.

His diverse experiences and dedication to social causes make him a valuable asset to both the business and charitable sectors.

In a statement released on their official social media page, AMG Realtors highlighted Andrew’s ongoing importance in shaping the company’s future.

As Executive Director, he will play a crucial role in ensuring AMG Realtors stays at the forefront of industry innovation and continues to deliver exceptional services to its investors.

“As Andrew embarks on this next chapter, he will continue to play a critical role in our future. In his new capacity as the Executive Director, he will focus on growing the business product portfolio, ” shared the company.

In light of these transformative changes, AMG Realtors expressed its eagerness to collaborate with its community as they embark on this exciting new chapter together.
