GardaWorld Security Africa has completed its rebranding from KK Security, following its acquisition by the $14 billion Canadian multinational security giant GardaWorld.
Rishi Ahluwalia, GardaWorld Security Africa’s Country Director for Kenya, on Wednesday, April 10, 2025, spoke on the significance of the rebrand for the firm with over 8,000 employees.

Speaking during an exclusive tour of the firm’s National Security Operations Centre (NSOC) in Nairobi, Rishi said the rebranding brings more opportunities, capabilities, and investments to Kenya.
According to him, the key change expected after the rebranding is the expanded scale of services that GardaWorld can now offer in the Kenyan market.

He added that the rebrand reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to Kenya.
The director also noted that GardaWorld is investing in significant upgrades across its operations.

“The main thing that’s not changing is our people. Our guards who protect your homes, our teams who respond to your alarms in the middle of the night, our executive protection officers who keep our clients safe on the road—these are the same men and women who have earned Kenyans’ trust over the years,” said Rishi.
“We’re upgrading everything—uniforms, vehicles, training systems. Already, we’ve modernized our Security Operations Centre and invested in upgrading our training school.”

The newly enhanced training facility comes with amenities including Wi-Fi connectivity, IT equipment, and e-learning infrastructure, which play a critical role in how the firm trains its guard force and security teams.
Rishi also highlighted GardaWorld Security’s roadside response mobile app as one of the firm’s key innovations in enhancing rapid assistance and client safety.
The app enables users to trigger a panic button linked directly to the NSOC’s control room, instantly sharing the user’s live location—even if they’re on the move.

Once activated, the control room dispatches the nearest response team to the user’s location in real time.
In addition, GardaWorld is leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered remote monitoring capabilities, real-time asset tracking, and 24/7 intelligence from a wide network of mobile response vehicles.
These tools enhance dynamic decision-making and on-the-ground security operations.
“AI is fundamentally transforming how we operate across industries—and security is no exception,” Rishi added.
“It acts as a multiplier force for the human behind the control room, the driver’s seat, or the surveillance camera. AI can detect deviations from normal patterns and trigger alerts of how a situation should be running and trigger an alert.”
