The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has begun notifying successful applicants of their university placements through SMS.
In a statement on July 8, KUCCPS announced that successful applicants will receive an SMS with their placement details. Candidates can also log in to the KUCCPS Student’s Portal to confirm the institutions and courses they have been placed in.
“Look out for an SMS message from KUCCPS or log in to your KUCCPS Student’s Portal to check details of your university and course,” read part of the statement.
The messages inform candidates of the degree programme and university where they have been placed, while advising them that their respective institutions will issue admission letters and joining instructions.
KUCCPS Sends SMS to Students After Releasing Placement Results
In one of the messages seen by The Kenya Times, KUCCPS congratulated a student on securing placement to a Bachelor of Education (Arts) programme and informed the candidate that the assigned university would communicate the next steps for admission.
Students who do not receive an SMS can also confirm their placement by logging into the KUCCPS Student’s Portal, where details of their university and course are available.
“Dear T., Congratulations! You have been placed to Bachelor of Education (Arts) at university. The university will contact you with your admission letter and joining instructions,” read the message.
