The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) on July 10 announced a public auction for boarded items, including motorcycles and vehicles, with prices starting from as low as Ksh10,000.
The auction will be conducted by KWS in collaboration with M/S Valley Auctioneers and will take place on two separate dates in July 2025.
“Kenya Wildlife Service to sell various items through an auction. Motorcycles valued at Ksh10,000 and vehicles as low as Ksh40,000,” read part of the KWS catalogue.
Auction Dates and Venues
According to notice reference KWS/DC/46/2024-2025, the first auction will be held at Tsavo East National Park in Voi on Tuesday, 22nd July 2025, starting at 9.30 am.
The second auction will follow on Friday, 25th July 2025, at the KWS Central Workshop located along Magadi Road in Nairobi, also beginning at 9.30 am.
Members of the public were invited to attend and participate in the auctions as all items will be sold on an “as-is, where-is” basis, and KWS encourages interested buyers to inspect the goods before the sale dates.
Items Listed for Auction
The catalogue includes a wide range of items, among them motorcycles valued at Ksh10,000 and vehicles starting at Ksh40,000.
Units listed for sale include KAY 040V Isuzu DMAX double cabin valued at Ksh295,000, KBQ 679D Toyota Land Cruiser pickup at Ksh100,000, and a KAT 790X Iveco truck at Ksh300,000.

A GK 584L low-bed trailer, a farm tractor trailer without registration, and a 250cc Jianshe J5 Masuda ATV are also featured among others.
In addition, 20 tonnes of assorted scrap materials made up of wood, metal, porcelain, and wires are valued at Ksh100,000.
Other available items
Other items include 1900 used tyres, seven tonnes of newspapers and magazines, and 191 pieces of used motor vehicle batteries.
Spare parts listed include both new and used motor vehicle components, brake drums, rims, and motorcycle rims.
There are also generators, lawnmowers, fridges, freezers, and liquid nitrogen tanks included in the auction lots.

The valuation for each lot varies, with some items grouped in large quantities.
Terms and Participation
All bidders must comply with the auctioneer’s terms and conditions and successful bidders will be required to pay and collect the items as per the auction guidelines.
