Proto Energy Limited (PEL) has announced the sale of 201 motor vehicles and motorcycles by public auction.
In a notice on Friday, August 22 the energy company said the auction will be conducted in Kabati, Murang’a County, Jomvu and Miritini in Mombasa, and Nakuru.
“Applications are invited from interested bidders for the purchase of the assets listed below. The Assets shall be sold on an “AS IS WHERE IS” basis,” read the notice in part.

Among the vehicles and motorcycles up for sale in Kabati are five Mercedes Benz Actros, 24 Captain CP250-30Q, two Haojin GY200, three Haojin HJ150, and 20 Haojin HJ250 Tuktuks.
Others include two Hino 300, one LPG trailer, 43 Piaggio Tuktuks, four Tata 407, 29 Tata Ace Mega, two Tata Xenon, one Toyota Probox, and one TVS Star 125.
In Mombasa (Jomvu), the sale features two Hino 300, one Nissan NP200, one Hino 500, one Haojin HJ150, one TVS Star 125, nine Piaggio Tuktuks, three Tata Ace Mega, and one Mercedes Benz Actros.
Meanwhile, in Mombasa (Miritini), three Mercedes Benz Actros have been listed for sale.

In Nakuru, the vehicles and motorcycles available include two Haojin GY200, three Haojin HJ250 Tuktuks, one Hino 300, five Tata 407, 19 Tata Ace Mega, one Tata Xenon, and one TVS 125.
All interested bidders are invited to view the assets at the specified locations between 25th August 2025 and 5th September 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
To participate in the exercise, prospective bidders are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Ksh 10,000 via Paybill Number 247247, Account Number 1560272926143. A copy of the payment receipt must be attached to the bidding document.
Deadline for Submission of Bids
Completed bidding documents, together with all other requirements, must be submitted electronically to [email protected] no later than 11:00 a.m. on Friday, 12th September 2025.
The bidding document may be downloaded from the Proto Energy website at https://protoenergy.com/bid-pdf/.
The company has emphasized that physical bidding documents will not be accepted, and any submissions received after the deadline will be rejected.

Proto Energy Limited said it will notify successful bidders in writing to execute contracts for the purchase of the assets and make payment of the purchase price in line with the agreed terms.
Each successful bidder will also be required to be registered on the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) portal and bear all costs relating to the transfer of the assets from Proto Energy Limited to their name.
The company further noted that it, its employees, and advisors will not be held liable for any failure to complete the transfer of assets.
