Range Rover has now launched its first fully electric Range Rover, introducing a new battery-powered luxury SUV.

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is positioned as a new flagship in the luxury SUV market, offering up to 372 miles (599 kilometers) of driving range, rapid charging and performance comparable to some of the brand’s most powerful combustion-engine models.

The model was unveiled in September 2026 after an extended development and testing program.

For Kenyan buyers, the vehicle’s price has not yet been publicly listed, and buyers in Kenya will need to request a quotation through the authorized distributor.

Features and Performance of the Electric Range Rover

The new Range Rover Electric retains the familiar Range Rover silhouette rather than adopting a radically different EV design. Underneath, however, it uses a dedicated electric powertrain comprising two 260kW electric motors.

Together, the motors produce up to 542 horsepower and 850Nm of torque, giving the large luxury SUV 0- 60 mph acceleration in about 4.3 seconds.

The vehicle has a 118.5kWh battery and an 800-volt electrical architecture. Range Rover says the vehicle can achieve up to 372 miles under WLTP testing, while real-world estimates are around 333 miles.

Charging is another major feature. With a suitable high-powered DC charger, the battery can reportedly charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 22 minutes. The technology can also add a substantial amount of driving range during a short charging stop.

Despite being electric, Range Rover has also focused heavily on off-road capability. The SUV is designed to retain the brand’s ability to handle difficult terrain, with advanced traction management and electric-drive technology helping distribute power to the wheels.

The cabin continues the luxury-focused approach associated with Range Rover, with premium materials, sophisticated infotainment and extensive personalization options. Buyers can also specify customized exterior finishes and interior details through the brand’s bespoke commissioning program.

How Kenyans Can Order the Range Rover Electric

JLR has opened orders for the Range Rover Electric, with production taking place at the company’s Solihull plant in the United Kingdom, the historic home of Range Rover production since 1970.

For a Kenyan customer, the practical first step is to contact Land Rover Kenya and ask whether the electric model can be supplied locally or ordered specifically for the Kenyan market.

Kenyans interested in purchasing the Range Rover Electric should start by contacting Inchcape Kenya, the official Jaguar Land Rover distributor and retailer in the country. Inchcape’s Kenya operation handles vehicle sales and aftersales support for Jaguar Land Rover.

A buyer can request a quotation specifying the desired Range Rover Electric configuration. The dealer can then advise on availability, specification, final price, and registration requirements.

Inchcape Kenya provides a dedicated vehicle-price request facility and lists +254 730 191 000 and [email protected] for inquiries.
