Prophet Owuor claims to have performed another science-defying miracle after Millicent Awino reportedly tested negative for HIV/AIDS following a healing decree.
Millicent Awino, who was previously reported to have been healed from HIV/AIDS through a decree by Prophet Owuor, has tested negative in a recent retest, as claimed by the prophet.
The retest, reportedly to have been conducted in South Africa by Lancet, confirmed that HIV/AIDS was no longer present in her bloodstream.
“Millicent Awino, who was healed from HIV/AIDS from a DECREE of the ETERNAL BLOOD OF JESUS by Prophet Dr Owuor, has still tested negative, confirmed by a new retest in South Africa by Lancet,” Ministry of Repentance and Holiness said in a public statement.
Retest Confirms Negative Status
This follows earlier reports of her healing, which were attributed to a religious decree by Prophet Owuor invoking the “eternal blood of Jesus.”
The Ministry of Repentance and Holiness, Prophet Owuor’s church, shared the report of the retest.
Attached to the post were a photo of the pathology lab test, allegedly from the South African hospital, showing negative results, and a Kenyan health report that had earlier confirmed her negative status.
The church insisted that Millicent Awino continue to test negative for HIV/AIDS after the initial healing report.

No additional medical information was provided beyond the confirmation of her negative HIV/AIDS status.
CS Duale On Prophet Owuor Faith-Based Healing
Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale questioned claims of faith-based healing associated with Prophet Dr David Owuor, warning against narratives that undermine conventional medicine and patient safety.
Speaking on Citizen TV on January 28, Duale addressed the matter, saying that faith and spirituality remain important across religions but should not replace medical treatment.
The Cabinet Secretary questioned what he described as inconsistencies, alleging that Prophet Owuor himself sought medical care abroad.
“If he himself can go for knee replacement, I don’t know why he should ask his followers to go for spiritual nourishment and not take medicine,” Duale said, while indicating that authorities were seeking details of the hospital involved.

Additionally, he noted that Kenyans invest heavily in training healthcare professionals and that their work should not be dismissed or misrepresented.
“Whether Christian, Muslim, Hindu or Jewish, we still take our medicine for different ailments,” Duale said, adding that doctors undergo years of education, internship, and specialisation to become qualified professionals.
Duale also drew parallels with the Shakahola tragedy, where hundreds of followers died after being discouraged from seeking food and medical care. He cautioned religious leaders and followers to be vigilant, stressing that unverified spiritual claims can have fatal consequences.
“You have to be very careful. Shakahola showed us what happens when people are misled,” he said.
