Police in Budalang’i area in Busia County have raised alarm asking traders to close shop early following the surge in shop break-ins, in the area.
The latest break-in incident happened on Tuesday, June 27 at a butchery in Rwambwa. The butchery owner was left injured and is currently nursing deep cut wounds sustained during the attack at Siaya Referral Hospital.
Moreover, Port Victoria police division OCPD Isaiah Musee, reported that police officers were informed that a robber armed with guns raided David Obwama’s shop.

The 36-year-old victim was shot during the raid.
Nonetheless, police in the area have launched investigations into the rising attacks in Budalang’i. The Busia County police boss has also urged residents to be vigilant and keep safe by closing their businesses early to prevent any attacks form the gangs.
