The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced that several degree courses were removed from the application portal after the opening of the first revision window.
In a statement on May 16, KUCCPS Chief Executive Officer Agnes Mercy Wahome said programmes such as Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Engineering had already been filled during the initial application phase due to high demand and limited available slots.
She noted that the courses were subsequently removed from the portal as no spaces remained for revision applications.
“We encourage students who applied for these programmes but missed them due to competition to apply for available programmes,” Wahome said.
KUCCPS stated that the application window will remain open from May 16 to May 22, 2026
KUCCPS Courses Open for First Revision Window
At the same time, KUCCPS has reminded students that it is still undertaking continuous placement to TVET institutions, which include Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) and Kenya Utalii College.
Available KMTC programmes include Diploma in Community Health, Diploma in Mortuary Science, Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology, Diploma in Medical Engineering, Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Diploma in Physiotherapy, and Diploma in Public Health, among others. Eight certificate courses are also available.

The placement body added that the programmes are available on a rolling basis until all slots are filled.
However, courses such as Nursing, Clinical Medicine, and Pharmacy are currently unavailable and will instead be offered during the September intake.
At the Kenya Utalii College, available programmes include Diploma in Housekeeping and Laundry Management, Certificate in Front Office Operations, and Certificate in Housekeeping and Laundry Operations.
The programmes are open to students who sat KCSE examinations between 2000 and 2025.

How Many Students Applied for Degree Courses
According to the placement body, 212,510 candidates who scored a C+ and above in the 2025 KCSE examination have applied for various programmes since the opening of applications.
This represents 79.1 percent of the 268,714 Kenyan citizens who attained a mean grade of C+ and above in the national examination.
Hence, KUCCPS has urged 2025 Form Four leavers who qualified for degree programmes but have not yet applied for placement, as well as those who applied without securing a course, to log into the system and reapply.
“We call upon all 2025 Form Four leavers who qualified for degree programmes but have not applied for placement, and those who applied but have not secured a course, to log into the system and apply again,” Wahome said.
