Multimedia University of Kenya (MMU) is a public university located about 25 kilometres south of Nairobi, just a short distance from Ongata Rongai town.
The campus building is right next to the Nairobi National Park.
Additionally, it is set on a 115-hectare piece of land, offering students a calm and inspiring place to learn.
MMU started out in 2008 as part of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), but became a fully accredited university in March 2013.
Today, it is known for offering a wide variety of degree and diploma courses in areas like Engineering, IT, Business, Media, and Communication.

Multimedia University Courses
Multimedia University of Kenya (MMU) offers a diverse range of academic programs through six faculties, 15 departments, and five directorates.
These include Degree, Diploma, and Certificate levels, designed in alignment with national regulatory standards and industry needs to ensure relevance and quality in education.
Currently, MMU provides a total of 53 academic programs, which include 16 Master’s degree programs, 24 Bachelor’s degree programs, 11 Diploma programs, and 3 Certificate programs.

Entry: KCSE mean grade C+ with C (Plain) in English, Physics, and Mathematics or A-Level two principal passes and one subsidiary pass in relevant subjects.

Entry: KCSE mean grade of C+ with C in English and Mathematics, or Diploma in IT with a pass from JKUAT or equivalent institution.
Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering
Entry: KCSE mean grade C+ with C+ in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English or A-Level two principal passes and one subsidiary pass in relevant subjects.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology
Entry: Accredited Diploma in Computer Science or KNEC Diploma in Computer Studies with a credit pass and a KCSE mean grade of C plain.

Master of Science in Information Technology
Entry: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT (First Class or Upper Second-Class Honours) from a recognised university.
Master of Science in Computer Science
Entry: Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related disciplines (Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Statistics) with Upper Second-Class Honours.

Entry: Undergraduate degree in Business Administration/Management with First or Upper Second-Class Honours.

Entry: Bachelor’s in Project Management with Upper Second-Class Honours or Lower Second-Class with two years of relevant experience.
Master of Science in Supply Chain Management
Entry: Bachelor’s in supply chain/logistics/procurement with First/Upper Second-Class Honours or Lower Division with two years’ experience, or Pass with 5 years’ experience.
Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Entry: Bachelor’s in entrepreneurship, innovation, or similar with First/Upper Second-Class Honours. Lower division with two years’ experience is also acceptable.
