This guide breaks down the requirements for Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), diplomas, degrees, British system certifications, and other academic credentials.
Requirements for specific academic credentials.
For KCPE and KCSE certificates verification, you need to present original copies of the certificate and school leaving certificate alongside copies of each and a copy of your ID, which are key in ensuring the success verification of the two basic certificates.
To successfully verify Degree and Diploma original certificates, original transcripts, their copies and copies of each of them, plus a copy of personal ID are required.
British System Certificates can also be verified, but before you present them to the Ministry of Education, you must take them to the British Council for verification, then to the Ministry of Education alongside a copy of your personal ID.

Any other academic-related documents verification can also be done as one is only required to provide the original document, a copy of it and any possible transcripts if any.
For all the above-mentioned, a copy of a personal national identity card is necessary to facilitate the whole process.
Who can carry out the process?
If you are sending someone else to carry out the whole process for you, you need to attach a letter indicating that the specific person has been authorised to act on your behalf.
There is no any other option to go around the above-stated procedures, and it is necessary to carry out the process as a Kenyan citizen.
It should also be noted that whoever is carrying out the process must go to the embassy and Visa Facilitation Services Global (VSF) or TLScontact, where visa and consular services are done.
The latter is a physical process and cannot be done online.
