Elisha Odhiambo started his political career in 2017 when he was elected Member of Parliament for Gem Constituency in Siaya County.
He won the seat during the 2017 general election on the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party ticket.
Since then, he has served as the MP for Gem and was re-elected in the 2022 general elections.

Elisha Odhiambo earned his Bachelor of Education (Arts) degree from Kenyatta University, where he studied between 1986 and 1990.

Career life
Following his academic achievements, Elisha Odhiambo embarked on a distinguished career in human capital management.
From 1994 to 2003, he served as Employee Relations Manager at Kenya Power and Lighting Company.
He then worked as Head of Human Resource Consultancy at Family Health International from 2003 to 2006.
Subsequently, he held the position of Human Resources Director at ZEK Group between 2008 and 2010 and served as a Human Capital Advisor at PricewaterhouseCoopers from April to June 2010.

Since July 2011, he has been the Managing Partner at Inspirations Management Consultants, a role he continues to hold to date.
He joined politics in 2017, won, and was reelected in 2022.
