Anthony Kenga Mupe is a Kenyan politician and the serving Member of Parliament for Rabai Constituency, Kilifi County, under the Pamoja African Alliance (PAA) party.
Early Life and Education
Anthony Kenga Mupe grew up in Rabai Constituency and attended local primary schools from the late 1970s before enrolling in Krapf Memorial Secondary School, completing his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) between 1989 and 1992.
Career
Professional career
Anthony Kenga’s first entry into public office came in 2001, when he was elected as a Councillor for the Kilifi Town Council.
He held the position until 2007, gaining firsthand experience in local governance and the challenges facing coastal communities.
Kenga made another step forward in his career by choosing to contest for the position of Member of the County Assembly (MCA) for Rabai under a Jubilee ticket.
He won and played an important role in oversight, legislation, and resource allocation at the county level till 2017.
In the 2022 General Election, Kenga shifted to national politics, vying for the Rabai Constituency parliamentary seat under the Pamoja African Alliance (PAA) party, which is allied to the Kenya Kwanza coalition.
He serves in the 13th Parliament and is actively involved in legislative, oversight, and representation roles.

In May 2025, he announced the allocation of Ksh 167 million to enhance technical and vocational training institutions in Rabai, aiming to improve youth skills and employment opportunities
At the constituency level, Anthony Kenga is known for bold and ambitious projects, including the launch of the “Chapa Kazi” initiative in 2023.
The program provided free hearse and hospital transport services to Rabai residents, a social welfare initiative aimed at easing the financial burden on families.
However, the initiative stirred controversy, with critics claiming it was “promoting death” and in January 2025, after public debate, he suspended the program for six months to re-evaluate its design.

On the development front, his biggest success came in May 2025, when he secured a Ksh167 million allocation from the national government to upgrade Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions in Rabai.
