Court Cases
Chatur and his son have faced court cases in the course of their operations in Kenya.
In 2010, they were fined Ksh300,000 for defying a court order to halt construction on New Muthaiga Mall.
The construction was challenged by residents and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) over public land ownership.
In 2014, Chatur lost a defamation case against K24 TV and several journalists.
The Court of Appeal dismissed his case, which was originally filed in 2011.
