Dr. Mattress is one of Kenya’s largest and most popular mattress brands. The Company manufactures and retails Pocket Spring Mattresses, Foam Mattresses, Bed Sets, Memory Foam and Bal, Fiber Pillows, and Home and Hotel Furniture.
Adnan Merdin is the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Turea Limited, which owns Dr. Mattress.
He established the firm in 2009.
The Company’s brands include Dr.Mattress, Dr. Pillow, Duracoil, and Durafoam.
Merdin is the majority shareholder of Turea Ltd and has been the Managing Director since it was established.
He attended Dokuz Eyluul University in Turkey between 1980 and 1984.
Merdin pursued an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Management.
He later on, joined Kenya Polytechnic University between 1988 and 1991.

He attended Istanbul Erkek Lisesi between 1987 and 1994.
Afterwards, he pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science, Environmental Engineering Technology from 1995 to 1999.
From 2000 to 2002, Terzioglu pursued a master’s degree in finance at La Salle University.
