Healthcare facilities in Uasin Gishu County licensed and approved by the Social Health Authority (SHA) offer different medical attention depending on the level of the facility under the SHA framework.
Level 6, Level 5, and Level 4 facilities in Uasin Gishu provide advanced inpatient and outpatient services, including surgeries, in both the private and public SHA-approved facilities.
Under the SHA framework, Uasin Gishu has Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH), a Level 6A national referral hospital that provides specialized patient care in western Kenya.
Further, Eldoret Regional Hospital, Moi Barracks, Uasin Gishu County Referral Hospital, Eldoret Hospital, Langas Sub-County Hospital, and Kapseret Sub-County Hospital are SHA-approved Level 4 government facilities.
