The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced new executive appointments to enhance service delivery and reinforce institutional capacity, effective September 11, 2025.
In a statement issued on Thursday, September 11, the authority confirmed the appointment of Nancy Ngetich, EBS, as the new Commissioner for the Shared Services Department.
She takes up the role substantively after serving in an acting capacity since February 2023.
At the same time, the taxman announced a leadership change in the Large and Medium Taxpayers Department.
The KRA Board and Management are committed to ensuring that executive roles are substantively filled while maintaining continuity and accountability across the organization.

Who is KRA Commissioner Nancy Ngetich?
During her time as acting Commissioner, Ngetich oversaw major organizational reforms, including aligning human resource functions with KRA’s 9th Corporate Plan,
She also oversaw and promoted the use of technology to support revenue mobilization.
Further, the taxman noted that she previously served as Deputy Commissioner for Policy and International Affairs in the Customs and Border Control Department at KRA.
Before joining the taxman, she worked as a Senior Manager for Customs and Tax Advisory at Ernst & Young LLP.
Ngetich has also been involved in critical regional and international negotiations, including the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) talks and East African Community customs policy reforms.
“Ms Ngetich is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and Member of the Law Society of Kenya, the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya and the Kenya Institute of Management,” noted the authority.
Doreen Mbingi Appointed to head Compliance
Doreen Mbingi, who has been serving as Deputy Commissioner for Compliance in East and South Nairobi, has been appointed in an acting capacity to head the department.
Her appointment follows the secondment of Rispha Simiyu, FCCA, EBS, who was previously in charge of the department, to the National Treasury and Economic Planning.

Moreover, the KRA Board and Management said the appointments are meant to ensure continuity, accountability, and efficiency in revenue mobilization.
“The Authority congratulates Ms. Ngetich and Ms. Mbingi on their appointments and urges all taxpayers and stakeholders to continue extending their support and collaboration,” the statement read in part.
KRA also noted its commitment to mobilizing revenue for national development while delivering fair and transparent services to taxpayers across the country.
