The Kakamega County Assembly Service has announced job openings across various departments, including permanent and pensionable positions, as well as internship opportunities.
In a notice dated Friday, July 18, 2025, the County Assembly called on qualified candidates to apply.
“The County Assembly Service Board hereby invites applications from suitably qualified, competent, and interested persons to fill the following vacant positions,” the notice stated.

The positions advertised by the County Assembly Service include: Senior Principal Legal Counsel (1 vacancy), Research Officer I (2 vacancies), Finance Officer I (1 vacancy), Accountant I (2 vacancies), and Accountant II (1 vacancy).

- One-year non-renewable temporary appointment
- Degree Holders (15 vacancies) – Stipend: Kshs. 20,000
- Diploma Holders (5 vacancies) – Stipend: Kshs. 15,000
Requirements for Appointment
A) Degree Holders
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Law, Public Communication, Media Relations, Business Administration, Education, Commerce, Supplies Management, Security Management, ICT, Leadership, or any related field from a recognized institution.
- Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.
B) Diploma Holders
- Higher National Diploma or Ordinary Diploma in Social Sciences, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Law, Public Communication, Media Relations, Business Administration, Education, Commerce, Supplies Management, Security Management, ICT, Leadership, or any related field from a recognized institution.
- Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.
