Kenya Commercial bank (KCB) has dismissed viral letter notifying job applicants that they had been shortlisted for interviews to fill vacant positions.
In a post on X account Tuesday July 16th July 2024, KCB asked Kenyans and jobseekers to disregard the viral notice and that it was misleading.
The bank warned that the public should treat the information as false and the copy making rounds was not from them.
“Attention; Kindly treat the information circulating below as false,” read part of the statement from KCB.
The flagged notice was targeting those who had applied for job opportunities.
It gave directives on the next recruitment phase which entailed an online interview alongside document verification.
Details of KCB jobs letter
The post notified shortlisted applicants to undergo a screening session organized by bank’s recruiting agency for document verification among other stages.
It further stated that the shortlisted applicants would be taken through an online amplitude test that would be designed to determine their level of preparedness to the particular job position applied for.

Additionally, successful candidates were advised to avail the original and copies of their academic certificates, original and copies of their passport and ID, copies of their National Health Insurance funds (NHIF), National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and their bank account details.
Likewise, the letter read that the registration was to be closed on 16th, July 2024 and the test link form for the online interview shall be processed for individuals on first case if one faced difficulty in sending their registration fees.
“The registration shall be closed by end of business day of 16th July 2024. However, the test link shall be processed for individuals on first.
