The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced the opening of applications for its 2026 industrial attachments and pupillage programme, offering paid opportunities for students and graduates to gain hands-on experience in various professional fields.
The industrial attachment programme will run for three months, from January to March 2026, while the pupillage programme will span 12 months.
Industrial Attachment Programme (January–March 2026)
The attachment programme targets continuing undergraduate students in their 3rd, 4th, or final year of study, as well as final-year diploma students from recognized institutions.
“The programme aims at providing the Youth an opportunity to acquire practical aspects of their respective areas of specialization in partial fulfillment of their degree programme. The opportunities are open within the various Support Services departments of the authority,” KRA said.
KRA will host students from various departments, including Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Communications, ICT, Engineering, Criminology, Security Management, Business Administration, Law, Education, Chemistry, and several other fields.
Applicants must be Kenyan citizens aged below 35 years, be continuing undergraduate or final-year diploma students with a valid introduction letter from their university or college, and be available full-time for the three-month duration. A monthly stipend of Ksh7,000 will be provided to all successful candidates, subject to statutory deductions.

Selected candidates will also be required to submit proof of a valid personal accident insurance cover, copies of their KRA PIN, NHIF/SHIF, NSSF, national ID, and bank account details.
KRA emphasizes that no fees are charged during the application process and that incomplete or late applications will not be considered for review. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, and the Authority does not extend the attachment period.
KRA Pupillage Programme
At the same time, KRA, an accredited pupillage centre recognized by the Kenya School of Law (KSL), is also inviting applications for its 2026 pupillage programme. The year-long programme offers law graduates practical exposure to legal work within a dynamic public sector environment.
Pupils will gain hands-on experience in diverse areas of law, including tax litigation, commercial law, public finance, compliance, and regulatory enforcement. The programme is a mandatory professional apprenticeship for students pursuing the Advocates Training Programme (ATP) at KSL.
To qualify, applicants must hold a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, be enrolled in the ATP between January 2024 and December 2025, and be available full-time for the 12-month duration, and provide an introduction letter from KSL upon selection. Successful pupils will receive a monthly stipend of Ksh25,000, subject to statutory deductions.
