Jobseekers must verify the Licensing of the agency with the Ministry of Labour to ensure the agency is registered and licensed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection. This is by checking their status through the Ministry of Labour website or by contacting their offices.
In addition, check with the Recruitment and Placement Service (RPS) and confirm the agency’s credentials and request a copy of their license. The Ministry of Labour issues licenses to employment agencies through the RPS.
Further, you can visit the National Employment Authority’s Integrated Management System (NEAMIS) to register as a job seeker. From there, you can search for specific agencies or job categories to gather relevant information.
Do not forget to verify with the Kenyan Embassy if the job opportunity is legal and that your VISA is real and not fake.
Before proceeding with employment in another country, check with the Kenyan embassy or consulate in that country to ensure the agency is recognized and that the job placement is legitimate.

Examine the Agency Physical Address and Contact Information, because any legitimate agency should have a physical office with verifiable contact details.
Take precautionary measures if an agency only operates online or lacks a visible office.
Review Online and other client’s testimonies. Research and look for reviews or testimonials from previous job seekers or who have used the agency’ s services. In the case of negative reviews or complaints about fraud or scams do not apply for any job.
