Emmanuel Wangwe is a Kenyan politician and a member of parliament representing Navakholo Constituency in Kakamega County.
He was elected in the 2017 general elections under the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM)party.

Emmanuel Wangwe began his academic journey at Ingotse High School, where he sat for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) in 1993.
He advanced his studies by pursuing a Diploma in Banking and Finance at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies. Additionally, he obtained a Diploma in Credit Management from the Kenya College of Credit Management.
These academic qualifications in finance and credit equipped him with the technical skills necessary for his later roles in the private sector and public service.
Career
Before venturing into politics, Emmanuel Wangwe built a career in the private sector.
From 1998 to 2000, he worked as an Accounts Assistant at Ampef Consultancy. He later joined Metro Petroleum Limited as Sales and Distribution Manager between 2001 and 2005.
His most senior role in the private sector was as Head of Marketing at Jade Petroleum Limited, a position he held from 2006 to 2012.
Wangwe entered elective politics in 2013 when he was elected as the Member of Parliament for Navakholo Constituency.
Political career
His parliamentary career has since grown steadily. He served as Vice Chair of the Agriculture and Livestock Committee between 2017 and 2020 and was later appointed Majority Whip in the National Assembly from 2020 to 2022.
During this time, he served on various committees, including Budget and Appropriations, House Business, Justice and Legal Affairs, Appointments, and the Selection Committee.
In March 2025, Wangwe was appointed Chairperson of the Public Investments Committee on Social Services, Administration, and Agriculture, which oversees over 100 state agencies.
Family
Emmanuel Wangwe is married and has children.
His son, Kelly Kaula Wangwe, made headlines in early 2024 after scoring a straight A in the 2023 KCSE examinations.
Kelly expressed aspirations to become an aeronautical engineer.
In May 2024, Wangwe’s family mourned the loss of his mother, Agneta Nerima, a respected farmer and resident of Navakholo.
