Geoffrey Ekesa attended Lugulu A.C. Secondary School, where he sat his KCSE in 1997, following completion of primary education at Malanga Primary School in 1992.

He earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Moi University, completing his degree between 1999 and 2003.
Career information

Following his graduation, Mulanya joined Namada & Company Advocates in 2004, where he practised law until 2012.

From 2013 to present, he has been a Partner at Mulanya & Maondo Advocates, focusing on litigation, mediation, and arbitration.

Professionally, he is affiliated with the Law Society of Kenya. He also has interests in legal affairs, infrastructure development, accounting, and sports management. 

In August 2022, Mulanya entered elective politics and was elected Member of Parliament for Nambale Constituency as an Independent candidate.

Despite not holding formal committee appointments in the 13th Parliament, he sponsored a private Member’s Bill in October 2022 under the Departmental Committee on Energy aimed at strengthening legal frameworks in that sector.
