Joseph Lekuton is a Kenyan politician and the sitting Member of Parliament for Laisamis Constituency in Marsabit County.
He has been the MP of Laisamis Constituency in the 9th Parliament since 2006, following the death of Titus Ngoyoni.
There was a by-election, and he won the seat under the KANU party ticket.

Joseph Lekuton began his secondary education at Kabarak High School, where he studied from 1982 to 1989.
He later joined St. Lawrence University in the United States, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, Government, and History from 1989 to 1992.
Furthermore, continued with a master’s programme at the same university between 1992 and 1994.
Lekuton later advanced his academic credentials by pursuing a master’s degree in international education at Harvard University from 2003 to 2009.

Joseph Lekuton’s career began locally at Kenya Commercial Bank, where he worked as a clerk from 1987 to 1988.
After completing his studies in the United States, he taught History at The Langley School in Virginia, USA, from 1995 to 2006.
In 2006, Lekuton transitioned into political leadership, successfully contesting a parliamentary seat for Laisamis in a by-election.
Joseph Lekuton served as a Member of Parliament from 2006 to 2017, then returned to Parliament in August 2022, where he currently serves in the 13th Parliament under the United Democratic Movement (UDM) party, affiliated with the Kenya Kwanza coalition.
Between 2018 and 2022, during his time out of Parliament, Lekuton worked with the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and taught at Utalii College.
