Biography
Ben Kitili is a broadcast journalist with 15 years of experience in the Kenyan television industry. He is passionate about governance, politics, building the Kenyan nation and telling the African story.
Kitili is currently a news editor at the Nation Media Group (NMG).
Education & Career of Ben Kitili
Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts Communication in Electronic Media from Daystar University. He started his career at Mediamax Network Ltd as a sports anchor and reporter at K24.
However, in January 2009, Kitili was promoted to be a news anchor and current affairs editor a position he held until December 2011 when he joined NTV.
Afterward, he quickly became one of the top news anchors at the station, thanks to his experience and remarkable talent.
At NTV, he co-anchored with Lizz Ntonjira, another great media personality in Kenya.
He also served at Nation Media Group (NMG) as a news anchor and political reporter between December 2011 and June 2013.

Later, in July 2013, Ben Kitili moved to at Standard Group (SG) PLC where he served for eight years until August 2021.
AT SG, Kitili served as a political editor, senior news anchor and programme editor. Here, he covered breaking news and historical events for KTN in Kenya and all over the world.
He was like the keynote speaker for the station, increasing its rating every day. Over time, Ben Kitili has interviewed many notable personalities renowned in Kenya and all over the world.
At the same time, he paired up with Lindah Ogutu on the KTN Prime set whom he worked with at NTV.
Thereafter, Kitili moved back to NTV as a news editor in August 2021, he was then promoted to be the managing editor in December 2022 before moving back to be a news editor four months later.
Other Interests
Other than news anchoring, he is the founder and CEO of Dreamtac Events and Ben Kitili Foundation. Kitili is also an event moderator, trainer, a farmer and businessman.
