Nimrod Mbai is a Kenyan politician and the current Member of Parliament for Kitui East Constituency.
He was elected on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket in the August 2022 general elections.
Mbai is a former police officer and served as security aide to the late Francis Nyenze and later to the current Machakos County Governor, Alfred Mutua.
Education background of Nimrod Mbai
Nimrod Mbai started his education at Malatani Primary School to earn a Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) certificate.
Later, he moved to the Ikanga Boys Secondary School for his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
Mbai joined the University of Nairobi to pursue a Diploma in Public Relations and later moved back to the University of Nairobi to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communications.
He then went to Kenyatta University for master’s in public policy and administration.

Between 1996 and 2017, Nimrod Mbai worked in the Ministry of Internal Security as an Administration Police Officer.
Between 2013 and 2017, he joined Machakos County as a Chief Officer after being appointed by the governor to the county.
In 2017, Nimrod Mbai joined the National Assembly as a Member of Parliament for Kitui East Constituency.
Nimrod has also served at the departmental committee on administration and national security from 2017 till now.
