Kenya is witnessing a new wave of young celebrities rising to prominence, as children step into the limelight and make their mark in various entertainment fields.
From television hosting and acting to music and social media influence, these young stars are quickly becoming household names.
Among them are Ricca Pokot, Young Fortune, Blessed Tugi, and Mueni Bahati, each carving out their unique paths and captivating audiences with their impressive talents.

Ricca Pokot
Ricca is the new co-host for Churchill Show Kids Corner on NTV, and the daughter of renowned Disc Jockey (DJ) Pierra Makena.
Unlike her mother who shines in the deejaying world, Ricca is carving out her path in hosting and acting, already securing impressive gigs in these fields.
The 8-year-old joined YouTube in April 2024, and her account already boasts over 5,000 subscribers and more than 100,000 views with just two videos.

In addition, she has over 50,000 followers on Instagram and more than 15,000 on TikTok, showcasing her growing influence in the digital space.
This isn’t Ricca’s first opportunity to pursue her passion. In November 2023, she showcased her talent as part of the cast in Jackie ‘Awinja’ Vike’s YouTube show ‘Disco Matanga,’.
Pierra and her daughter have actively engaged in marketing different brands on their social media pages, further expanding their presence and influence.
Young Fortune
Fortune Kangai popularly known as Young Fortune is a 10-year-old gospel music artist and presenter at Royal media services.
She hosts a children’s show on Citizen TV known as Citizen Junior running on the weekends, every Saturday from 9am to 10 am.
Fortune, then a grade five student caught the attention of President William Ruto through her performance at the Kenya Music Festival State gala held in Nakuru in 2023.
During the gala, she performed one of her songs known as ‘Yesu ni Bazu’, a performance that saw the Head of State rise to his feet to dance.

Kangai revealed that she started singing at the age of three and was composing her own songs by six. She is currently signed under 7heaven Music, a record label owned by renowned gospel musician Guardian Angel.
Tugi
Tugi is the son to Comedian Timothy Kimani aka Njugush and Celestine Ndinda. He has amassed a huge following on YouTube, and has been awarded the Prestigious YouTube Creator Award, popularly known as the Sliver Plaque.
Just like his parents who are in the creative and entertainment industry, Tugi’s content revolves around his interaction with his parents, creativity and storytelling.
Similarly, he has appeared in brand endorsements with his parents and viral videos. Tugi is also known for his famous quote “I’m relaxing”.
Mueni Bahati
Mueni Bahati is the daughter of former gospel musician Kevin Kioko popularly known as Bahati and Yvette Obura.
She has featured in brand endorsement deals with her mother Yvette, with the recent being with a clothing line that showcased their bond as mother and daughter.
Additionally, her content includes interactions with her family, younger siblings, family vacations, and mother-daughter activities.
